I have found several successful replacements for Adobe products. All of these are free. There is of course a learning curve with them, but I will add relevant training / guide YouTube playlists when I have built them up.
I thought I would never see a piece of software that was equivalent or as good as Adobe Aftereffects. But in comes Natron, a open source compositor for VFX and Motion graphics. It appears to be well supported and popular. There is a learning curve to this software but it soon clicks and it is a very smooth way to add effects to your videos.
You can download and read more about this software here –> https://natrongithub.github.io/ I have also started to create a YouTube playlist for Natron training videos, you can view that list here –> Natron Tutorials
This is my Premier Pro replacement. I have tried a few free video editing suites but Resolve always comes out on top. It is super easy to use and fast. You can read more and download here (scroll to bottom of their page) –> https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/
They offer free and paid versions, the free version is a very capable editor and I have used this over Premier Pro. It’s my go to software. They do offer a paid option to add some extra features, which is quite low cost and is a one off payment (Adobe are you listening?)
GIMP & INKSCAPE
These two beauties replace Illustrator and Photoshop. Both are open source and free to use. Both are very good in what they do, I do tend to favour Gimp over Inkscape. I find GIMP better to use and it seems to flow better. But both are recommended and are great replacements. You can Gimp here –> https://www.gimp.org/ and Inkscape here –> https://inkscape.org/
